Teaching and Learning
Our KS3 curriculum is aligned with the Cambridge framework, renowned for its depth and breadth in preparing students for academic success and personal development. We offer English language, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, ICT, Digital Literacy, Modern Foreign Languages, Business Studies, Art, and Physical Health Education.
At Windsor Locks School Abuja, we employ a variety of teaching approaches, including interactive lectures, group discussions, practical demonstrations, and project-based learning. Through these methods, our students engage actively with the material, developing essential skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and communication.
Assessment is an integral part of our teaching and learning process. We utilize a range of assessment methods, including continuous assessment, formative assessments, and summative evaluations, to provide comprehensive feedback and measure student progress effectively. Our emphasis on assessment for learning ensures that students receive timely support and guidance to reach their full potential.
Above and Beyond
At Windsor Locks School Abuja, we believe in going above and beyond traditional education to provide our KS3 students with unique opportunities for growth and exploration. From innovative extracurricular activities to community engagement initiatives, our Above and Beyond program enriches the educational experience and encourages students to discover their passions and talents beyond the classroom.
Some highlights of our Above and Beyond program include:
Enterprise
This is a school-wide program where each learner is assigned to a company. The leaners take ownership by building the brands, producing products, selling, use of funds to promote social responsibility, and accountability.
Residential
This provides opportunity for leadership and character development for our learners. A unique bond is nurtured during the period.
Exciting field trips and experimental learning opportunities
Through these initiatives, we inspire our KS3 students to excel academically, embrace diversity, and become lifelong learners equipped to make meaningful contributions to society.
